The mood is actually well suiting for your description, i'd recommend you to actually compress and EQ the flute sounding synth for a better listening. It has lots of potential though.

I think it would be the most logical option. Maybe the melodic part gets lost a bit with the synth, right?
Listening to it again I would also add more volume and/or attack to the drums, it seems to me that they are a bit behind

I love the chord progression in the synths, it sounds weird but it follows the tune and flow, that's why I like it.
The bass sounds stereo and it gives a lot of warmth, that's soothing.
